Suzuki Talent Education of Appalachia (STEA) is a nonprofit organization that provides music instruction in violin, viola, and piano to students ages 3 to adult.  STEA is dedicated to the philosophy and teaching method founded by Shinichi Suzuki.  The Suzuki Method believes that, with a nurturing environment, all children can experience success and joy in learning music.  The faculty and parents of STEA work together to provide this nurturing environment.

Lessons are held at the STEA studios located in the Renaissance Center, 1200 E. Center Street, Kingsport TN.

 

Suzuki Talent Education of Appalachia welcomes RACHAEL EMERY to the STEA Violin Faculty!

Rachael Emery, a Kingsport native, returns to the area this summer, having completed her Master of Music degree in Music and Human Learning from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ms. Emery received her pre-college violin training at STEA from 1992 - 2005, studying with Linda Waltner, Kellie Brown, and Alice Keith Knowles. Rachael was an original member of Celtic Air, under the direction of Jane MacMorran, and an apprentice with the Symphony of the Mountains.

Ms. Emery is accepting students for the 2012 Spring Semester. Interested families should submit the pre-enrollment form found in the Registration link at the top of the home page.
